Production Manager

Taking different roles in this project helped in challenging myself to be successful in every position. i took the production manger role for the entire production phase. This was the first time i had to take on so many roles but mainly my first time taking the role of a production manager. A production manager oversees the manufacturing process and makes sure that the production lines are running smoothly and efficiently. they work closely with supervisors and maintenance staff to plan work, set targets and make sure the finised products meet quality standards. In my case the supervisors and maintenance staff was my team of 4 the editor, the art director, the director, and my DOP. Problems came up during production, but one of my main issues occured with my art director, were by i had told him to get the permits for the locations we were going to shoot at. He had taken longer then scheduled and on the day of shooting he was not ready, so i took things in my own hands and had to talk to the admissions office, luckly the lady i had spoken to was nice enough to give us the permit on the day and we was ready to shoot and continue our day with no problems with permits. As my first experience, i feel im skilled o take on this role again and many more like it. Furthermore, i learned from my mistakes and leanered to adapt to them and fix things when needed.
